Amber list for Malta updated and will come into effect on Friday

A further updated list of countries on Malta’s `amber list’ – has just been published, which will come into effect from Friday.
In a statement from the Ministry for Health, it said that as of midnight, on Friday, the 4th of September, passengers arriving from the countries listed below must submit a certificate showing a negative Covid-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test, performed up to 72-hours before boarding flights to Malta.
It added that passengers who fail to present this certificate may be submitted to testing in Malta, or may be subject to quarantine.
The countries on the revised list are:
Czech Republic;
Romania;
Spain – Barcelona, Girona, Madrid;
Tunisia.
This ‘amber list’ will be updated regularly, the statement said.
