Stock market news: 121 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 93.35 points down at 15152.25 on Thursday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Adani Power, APL Apollo Tubes, Astral Poly Technik, BEL, Bombay Dyeing, Deepak Nitrite, IDFC First Bank, Indiabulls Real Estate, JBM Auto, Tata Chemicals, UPL and Tata Power.

Overall, 27 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 23 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.

In the Nifty 50 index, Adani Ports SEZ, UPL , Sun Pharma, SBI Life and Asian Paints were among top gainers, while JSW Steel, Tata Steel, HDFC, Axis Bank and HDFC Bank were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 340.95 points down at 51103.70. Traders were seen piling up position in Learning & Education, Logistics, General, Irrigation & Allied Services and Diversified sectors, while selling were visible in Infrastructure, Auto, Cables, Construction and Metals - Non Ferrous sectors.
