KPI wins RoSPA Chemical Sector Award, Gold Award for Health, Safety


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) LONDON, Sept 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI) announced, Thursday, that it has been named the winner of the 2021 Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for the Chemical Sector Award, in addition to winner of the Occupational Health and Safety Gold Award for the tenth consecutive year.
The Gold award recognizes an organization's overall health and safety performance, policies, and procedures.
Specifically, the industry sector awards are competitive awards given to organizations that show surpass their competitors in leadership commitment to health and safety.
In addition, this award judged organizations on the efficacy of their response to challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic in each industry sector.
KPI's submissions for the awards were assessed by independent, experienced and well-qualified health and safety professionals engaged by RoSPA, liaising with other panel members.
KPI was commended in the past for its sector award entry, but this is the first time that KPI has won a sector award.
This award is a testament to KPI's adherence to the principles of an accident-free workplace and robust safety procedures in all its operations.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is a UK-based organization that aims to limit accidents in the workplace and elsewhere.
It has campaigned on several safety issues in the UK, including matters specific to occupational health and safety.
Organizations receiving a RoSPA Award are recognized as industry leaders in health and safety practice.
Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants vie to achieve the highest possible accolade in what is the UK's longest-running health and safety industry awards.
