FEMA Approves Another Round of Hurricane Michael Recovery Reimbursements

Communities recovering from Hurricane Michael were approved for more reimbursement dollars this week from the Federal Emergency Management Agency's public assistance grant program.

In Bay County, Chemical Addictions Recovery Effort in Panama City will get about $4 million to repair its buildings.

Bay District Schools will also get about $4 million to replace its transportation center, bringing the total the district has received in FEMA reimbursement aid since the 2018 storm to about $110 million.

Jackson Hospital in Marianna will get about a million dollars for repairs.

Gulf County will get about a million dollars to reimburse emergency management costs, bringing the county's total FEMA public assistance recovery grant funding to $25 million.
