In a press conference, United States State Department Principal Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel on Wednesday (April 17) said that they have extended support for reforms to United Nations institutions, which included the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
The Arizona Supreme Court's April 9 decision to uphold a near-total abortion ban from the 19th century has led to days of national debate, and multiple tries to overturn the ban. On Wednesday (Apr 17), the Arizona Republican control statehouse for the second time quashed efforts to overturn the ban.
Climate experts believe that cloud seeding is not behind the heavy rainfall in Dubai. A storm hit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman this week, bringing record rainfall. Cloud seeding is a process in which chemicals are implanted into clouds to increase rainfall in an environment where water scarcity is a concern. The UAE, which is one of the hottest and driest regions in the world, has been leading the effort to seed clouds and increase precipitation.
Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former prime minister currently imprisoned, accused Army chief General Asim Munir of being directly accountable for the imprisonment of his wife, Bushra Bibi.
