The State Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan continues to acquaint guests and citizens of the capital with unique works of art stored in its collections. The new exhibition entitled "Mäkäm bolsun halklaryñ dost-doganlyk köprüsi" has become a kind of bridge of friendship between peoples through art.

The exposition includes the creative work of masters of both far and neighboring countries, offering visitors the opportunity to follow various directions and trends in the visual arts of different countries.

The museum’s collection has been gathered for many years and today includes original sculptural compositions, porcelain products, lithographic images and paintings of famous painters.

Among the exhibits are paintings by such masters as Nicholas Roerich, Fyodor Rokotov, Peter Basin, Timofey Neff and others. Each of the painters has his own unique style and artistic vision.

If Fyodor Rokotov, portraitist of the second half of the 18th century, is known for his portraits of Empress Catherine II, then Nikolai Roerich, who is fond of the culture of the East and committed the Central Asian expedition, addresses the landscape theme, singing the beauty of the mountains.

Konstantin Mishin's work "Türkmen zenany" is dedicated to the image of a Turkmen woman and reflects the author's deep connection with the local culture. The artist lived in the Transcaspian region for a long time and is known for his sketches of landscapes and architectural monuments.

The exhibition "Mäkäm bolsun halklaryñ dost-doganlyk köprüsi" has a special significance this year, which was declared the International Year of Peace and Trust and marked the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality. By opening up the cultural heritage of various nations to visitors and young people, its emphasizes the importance of art as a universal language that unites people in all their diversity.
