Frank Foster Concert
Frank Foster will perform at Margaritaville Casino in the Paradise Theater on Friday. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Adult tickets start at $25.
Foster, a Louisiana native and independent country artist, released his first album, Rowdy Reputation, in 2011. His second album, Red Wings and Six Strings (2012), debuted at No. 30 on the Billboard Country Charts and No. 1 on Billboard’s South Central U.S. Heat Seekers chart.
His subsequent albums also charted on Billboard:

Shreveport Mudbugs vs Oklahoma Warriors Hockey: Geek'd Weekend
The Shreveport Mudbugs will face the Oklahoma Warriors on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 7:11 p.m. at George’s Pond at Hirsch Coliseum for New Gen/Geek’d Weekend. Fans are encouraged to dress as their favorite cosplay characters.
On Saturday, 2025, at 7:11 p.m., the Mudbugs will host a Kids Takeover Night, allowing children to participate in roles such as coaching and game announcing. More details to come.
Texas Bass Nation Tournament
The Texas Bass Nation Tournament will bring anglers together to compete for the championship title. The event is open to seasoned fishermen and fishing enthusiasts alike.

BAC Youth Art Classes
The Bossier Arts Council is hosting Youth Art Classes at the Virginia Cook Gallery for middle and high school students. Local artist Lisandra Di Liberto Torres will lead the sessions.
Details:
- Cost: $30 per child (covers all three sessions)
- Open to grades 6-12
- Seating is limited; families with three or more children can contact the Executive Director at britt@bossierarts.org for registration
- Students must attend multiple sessions to complete their work
- Absences should be reported in advance
- Parents cannot attend sessions
- Students will work with acrylic paint on canvas
- Light snacks will be provided

Clint Black
Clint Black, a member of the Class of '89, achieved five consecutive No. 1 singles from his triple-platinum debut Killin’ Time. He followed with Put Yourself in My Shoes and multiple platinum and gold albums throughout the '90s. Black wrote or co-wrote all of his chart hits, including A Better Man, Killin’ Time, When My Ship Comes In, and Nothin’ But the Taillights. His catalog includes 22 No. 1 singles and over 20 million records sold. He has received multiple gold and platinum awards, a GRAMMY, nearly two dozen major awards and nominations, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Black also hosts Talking In Circles on Circle TV. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Pizza Eating Championship
The Literacy Council of Bowie and Miller Counties will host a pizza-eating contest fundraiser at Lost Pizza Co. Proceeds will support literacy programs that help individuals in the Texarkana region achieve academic success, develop life skills, and improve work competencies.
Participants will compete to eat Lost Pizza creations, with all funds benefiting the council’s mission.

Defenders of Liberty Air Show 2025
The Defenders of Liberty Air Show in Shreveport-Bossier City showcases the home of the B-52 and provides rare public access to the military installation. The event offers community engagement, military recruitment opportunities, and a family-friendly experience. Admission is free.

Josh Johnson The Flowers Comedy Tour
Josh Johnson’s The Flowers Tour will be at the Strand Theatre in Shreveport on Sat, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $55, $45, and $35.
Johnson, an Emmy-nominated writer, stand-up comedian, and NAACP award winner, is a correspondent on The Daily Show and a former writer for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. His 2021 Comedy Central special #(Hashtag) marked his first hour-long special. Johnson regularly headlines theaters, clubs, and festivals worldwide, with his YouTube stand-up content amassing over 140 million views.
Magale Fest
The second annual Magale Fest will take place on March 29, from 1–3 p.m. at Centenary College's JF Magale Memorial Library. The event celebrates libraries as centers for lifelong learning and community engagement with family-friendly activities, including art making, live music, a reading corner, a book swap, face painting, and giveaways.
Interactive exhibits will feature live animals from Walter B. Jacobs Wildlife Refuge, displays from Shreve Memorial Library, and activities by Centenary departments and student groups. Centenary's Hurley School of Music will also host an instrument petting zoo. Local food trucks will be on-site.

Mermaid Breakfast
The Shreveport Aquarium will host a Mermaid Breakfast on National Mermaid Day, Saturday, with two seatings at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Guests can enjoy a themed breakfast, pick a mermaid or pirate name, participate in sing-alongs, storytime, crafts, and a photo session with mermaids and a pirate captain.

Admission includes free entry to the aquarium after the event. Seating is limited.
