Projects and programs across the country are changing as the EPA eliminates grants under direction of DOGE.
In Council Bluffs, one of the grantees impacted by EPA changes is Iowa Western Community College, a 2024 recipient for the EPA’s Brownfields Grant
Molly Noon, Vice President of Institutional Advancement, told Siouxland Public Media that shortly after being awarded the grant, the college received a notification to modify their projects to better align with the new EPA guidelines.
IWCC has edited and submitted the document but has not heard back from the EPA.
