MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Wisconsin softball beat Iowa twice in the home opener double header on Friday evening.

The Badgers won 8-7 and 4-2.

In the first game, Hilary Blomberg scored the first runs of the year at Goodman Diamond with a two-run homer in the first inning. Kendra Lewis also had a home run. Heading into the top of the fifth, the Badgers lead 4-1 and the Hawkeyes scored four run in the top of the inning to take the lead. They added two more runs in the top of the seventh. Wisconsin rallied in the bottom of the seventh, with an RBI triple from Alivia Bark, then Molly Schlosser had a two-run homer to tie the game at 7-7, and Leiw had a walkoff RBI triple to win the game when she drove in Kate Linkletter.

In the second game, Dani Lucey scored a two-run homer in the bottom of the second. Iowa had two runs in the top of the third, then the Badgers answered with an RIB single from Schlosser, and Blomberg rounded things out with an RBI double to go up 4-2.

With the wins, Wisconsin is now 21-12. The Badgers and the Hawkeyes will play on Saturday at noon.
