Stay informed about environmental issues in the new Facebook group The Scrub from IndyStar

As IndyStar's new environmental team, we've spent the last several months building up a beat that deals with a topic crucial to the health and well being of Hoosiers.

Along the way we've met passionate advocates, naturalists, business people, and homeowners from across the state who are worried about their environment locally and globally.

Join the conversation: The Scrub from IndyStar is on Facebook

That's why we decided to launch a Facebook group devoted to bringing those people together.

We're calling it The Scrub from IndyStar. This is a place to connect with us as well as other environmentally minded readers. You'll never miss an article from us, from breaking news about chemical spills to long-term investigations to tips and tricks for leading a more sustainable life. And we'll do our best to answer your questions large and small.

The environmental beat is as broad as the Midwest is flat. Already we've covered the solar industry in Indiana, the dangers of coal ash, logging on public lands, how climate change will effect the region, and so much more. And we want to know: What do you care about? What concerns you? What makes you curious? Tell us in The Scrub.
